What to do when your sanity needs a sweat sesh, but making it to the studio is just not going to happen? Sweat Series is here to help! We partnered with Athleta and asked the industry’s hottest instructors and fit-stagrammers to give us their quickest—and hardest—do-anywhere workouts. So, get pumped! (On your own schedule.)
With 1 million (and counting) followers on Instagram, Anna Victoria is hoping to spread the message that a fitness journey can start anywhere—beginning with this do-anywhere, boot camp-style, full-body workout.
“It’s so important to push your body to do things it’s not used to, not only for your physical health, but for your mental health. My workouts are high-intensity, but always focus on proper form and muscle engagement, so you’re getting the most out of your workout in short, sustainable bursts of movement,” says the online phenom and Fit Body Guides creator, whose five-minute full-body workout is brought to you by our fab fitness friends at Athleta.
Victoria’s workout will get your heart rate up and your fitness journey jump-started—with a lot of tough, no-frills exercises like planks and squats, paired with cardio intervals to heat things up for maximum burn.
But with her ever-growing audience, Victoria stresses that you don’t have to be burpee-ready to join in. All levels are welcome.
“Even if you’re a beginner, you just need to do what pushes your body and muscles in ways that you’re not used to,” she says. “If a full push-up is too much, start on your knees and just go as low as you can go—the more you do it, the better you’ll get.”
Check out the five-minute full-body burn workout above, and try the rest of our butt-kicking Sweat Series workouts as well.
